Florida A&M will announce Robert McCullum as the school’s next head basketball coach on Friday.
Sources confirmed McCullum will be introduced during a press conference scheduled for Friday morning. McCullum was chosen from 122 applicants. Of those applicants, roughly 15 were interviewed, according to Athletic Director Milton Overton Jr.
McCullum, 62, used to coach at USF, going 40-76 at the helm of the Bulls. He hasn’t been a head coach since then – he was fired in 2007 after going 12-18 – but he’s been an assistant with various programs, including Oregon. He’s in his third season with Oregon as the assistant director of basketball operations.
