Following men’s basketball’s most successful season under Head Coach Dedrique Taylor, Cal State Fullerton extended his contract for three more seasons, with a fourth year if he meets certain criteria.
“I’m excited to continue what we’ve started here,” Taylor said in a press release. “Cal State Fullerton is a special place and we as a program look forward to continuing to make our institution and community proud. I look forward to coaching this team for years to come.”
The Titans went 17-15 during the 2016-17 season, with a 10-6 record in conference. CSUF finished the regular season as the third seed entering the Big West Tournament, falling in the semifinals to eventual champion UC Davis on a tipped-in layup at the buzzer.
