Clink withdraws as Portland St. candidate

Chico State basketball coach Greg Clink has withdrawn his name from consideration for the coaching vacancy at Portland State, he confirmed to The Oregonian on Monday.

Clink, who has a 177-95 record at the Division II university, was contacted by PSU last week. He spoke again with Vikings athletic director Valerie Cleary on Monday and informed her he is staying at Chico State.

Luke Jackson, coach at Northwest Christian University, has also been contacted by the Vikings, per a source. He is expected to get an interview.
