No shocker here: Porter to Missouri

Michael Porter Sr. has accepted an assistant coach job at Missouri under Coach Cuonzo Martin, his son Jontay confirmed to the Tribune on Thursday night.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch was the first to report the move.

The decision followed a number of not-so-subtle social media updates from the Porter family on social media that sent a strong message they might soon be Missouri bound.

The first domino fell Thursday afternoon, when numerous media outlets reported that Washington had granted Michael Porter Jr. a release from his letter of intent to the school.

Then, just before Michigan and Oregon tipped for the first Sweet Sixteen matchup in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday evening, Michael Porter Sr. changed his Twitter profile picture from a snapshot of Michael Jr. and Jontay as young children to a close-up of a Bengal tiger.
