King Rice has led Monmouth to a great season so far as has them poised to win the MAAC and possibly get an at-large bid if they slip up. Rice was rewarded with a 5 year extension this week and it has been well deserved. His ‘bench mob” has gotten more pub than anything else but Rice has pulled the right strings this year and has impressive wins over UCLA, USC and Notre Dame. Even with the extension Rice will probably find his name linked to some higher profile jobs in the next two months.
