Departing coach rips basketball culture

Gavin Kane said Thursday his decision to step down after two years as girls’ basketball coach at Mt. Blue in Farmington involved personal reasons as well a concern about the level of player commitment – and parental involvement – in the program.

Kane cited that player entitlement has risen to new levels.  While expressing this to the media is probably a bad look the article is an interesting read and hits on many issues that coaches are faced with these days.
