Davis inks extension at MTSU

Kermit Davis has agreed to a contract extension that will allow him to remain Middle Tennessee State’s basketball coach for the next eight seasons.

The (Murfreesboro) Daily News Journal
reported Tuesday on the deal, which comes following a season in which Davis led the Blue Raiders to a 25-10 record and an upset of Michigan State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Davis is 276-175 in 14 seasons at MTSU and 413-250 overall (347-225 as a Division I coach) in a career that covers 21 seasons. He is the program’s all-time winningest coach. He also won more Sun Belt Conference games than any coach at any school.
